However, I see no picture and hear no sound. This is the first time this has ever happened.

I have tried all reset procedures possible including unplugging the TV for 10 minutes. The capacitors are located on the power supply board in the TV where the power cord plugs into.

Hi i have a Sony Bravia with no sound or picture. The standby lights are lit with red and power on is green when turned on, but nothing else appears, the sony logo also doesnt light. Ive tried unplugging everything.

Here is what he determined:. The issue seemed pretty perplexing at first and he reached out to a few other techs. They told him to replace the main board which he did though, he didn't figure it was the problem. What he did do was go into some special menu that is not obtainable to customers. I asked him if it was the "secret" service menu which I have gone in beforebut he said it was not the service menu but something ONLY technicans can access.

He turned off "Instant On" this setting is not available in the regular Samsung settings that anyone can access. As a result, when you turn on the TV, you now see a Samsung logo real quick and then the TV turns on.

Its probably only a second difference. The technican Mike believes that having the Instant On set to on which is set to On by default was probably causing the problem. Please Advise. My TV is on but only a black screen shows. If i press the remote a red light blinks. If i press menu nothing happens. How do i know which board needs to be replaced? Working on a seiki se50uy04, when powered on it will boot past the blue seiki screen with no issue at all.

I tried tcon board but it made no difference. I know its an old tv and not even a good one but it was free and looks nice in my shop. I have exactly the same issue…have sound but no pic…so cannot tell what input screen I am on. The Seiki logo comes up, I get sound then nothing!

The TV was bought 2 years ago so I do not think I can get it fixed under a warranty. Did you get yours sorted?
